AN elderly Farnham couple were burgled by "callous conmen" last Friday who used distraction techniques to steal while saying they were checking the water supply.
The 78-year-old owner of a property close to Waitrose supermarket opened the front door at around 5.30pm. She was confronted by a man who barged past her into the kitchen.
