SURREY Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly Farnham woman fell victim to conmen who tricked their way into her house and stole valuable jewellery.

Two men went to her home at around 4pm on Saturday, July 27, and told the victim, who suffers from arthritis, that they were working next door and that her fence needed repairing.

One managed to gain access after offering to show her where the fence needed repairing, and while she was distracted, a second man entered the property and stole jewellery, including a Russian 18 carat gold ring with a diamond stone.
