The University for the Creative Arts in Farnham is hosting a free animation exhibition from July 14 to 25.

Cycles and Sequences will feature recent work spanning animation, games, photography, design, illustration and music.

At least 20 different artworks, many never previously exhibited, will be on display in the James Hockey Gallery along with several new collaborations in expanded animation.

A feast of audio-visual stimulation awaits at the launch event on July 17. In addition to the exhibits and installations there will be a panel discussion on animation as research with experts in the field, followed by light refreshments, and expanded animation projection performances with live improvised sound.

And those who have an interest in character design might like to attend the Concept Art and Character Design symposium on July 18.

The exhibition will be open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm. For more information visit uca.ac.uk/events or email animation lecturer Vicky Smith at [email protected]
