In the aftermath of a global pandemic, comedian and scientist Ria Lina has had a Riawakening, and sees the world differently.

In this, her highly anticipated debut tour, she’ll be at The Forge at Anvil Arts in Basingstoke on Saturday, March 23 at 7.45pm, when she’ll tackle the new normal, divorce, dating in a new digital world, motherhood and what it means to be a woman today.

Fearless, provocative and very funny, Ria is the only Filipina comedian in British stand-up. Her credits include Live At The ApolloHave I Got News For YouMock The WeekLovestruck HighRichard Hammond’s Brain ReactionRichard Osman’s House Of Games, The Last Leg and Celebrity Mastermind.

Ria holds a BSc in experimental pathology, an MSc in forensic science and a PhD in virology, and worked in IT forensics at the Serious Fraud Office.

A regular pundit on Sky News, BBC News, Times Radio and TalkTV, Ria is in demand for her scientific insight, confident delivery and biting wit. Ria is passionate about being neurodivergent and increasing the visibility of neurodivergent talent within the entertainment industry.
