Farnham artist Jim Robinson is showing one of his sculptural installations at the Red Cube Gallery in Frensham until December 20.

He is presenting two 'harps', forms created from timbers salvaged from a Farnham hotel's vaulted ceiling which he strung with heavy duty copper wire.

A spokesperson for the gallery said: “The sculptures recall repurposed musical instruments and have taken on a beautiful Verdi gris patina from weathering in Jim’s amazing garden.”

Jim’s garden, in central Farnham alongside Farnham Park, is adorned with such creations. He works largely from community cast-offs but also collects from sales and while travelling in the Indian subcontinent and the Far East. He sells small finds and smaller creations at car boot sales.
