Farnham mayor Cllr Brodie Mauluka cut a ribbon to officially open the We Create Arts Festival at the Museum of Farnham’s Garden Gallery on May 7.

It was one of six places around the town centre hosting six different exhibitions staged by fine art and photography students from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham between 11am and 5pm.

The venues and themes were the Museum of Farnham (Ecologies), Farnham Library (The Senses), Farnham Maltings (The Everyday), Gostrey Meadow (Identities), Brightwells Yard (Virtual Worlds) and the Oxfam bookshop (Dialogue).

As part of their training to become professional creative people, the students managed their own publicity and conducted their own negotiations for the venues - including painting the walls at the Garden Gallery in lieu of a hiring fee!
