A BROAD-ranging art and photographic exhibition will be on view at All Saints Church in Tilford, over two weekends later this year to celebrate the 150th birthday of the church.
Artists and photographers of all ages and of all abilities from experienced professionals to budding amateurs will be taking part in the special event on September 23, 24 and 30 and October 1.
Featuring work by adults and also children, this innovative show is expected to draw visitors from a wide area, as did the highly successful flower festival, staged earlier in the year.
The exhibition will be open to the public (free of charge) from 10am till 4pm on the two Saturdays and from 11am till 4pm on the two Sundays – refreshments, including home-made cakes will be available.
Anyone living in or in any way associated with the parishes of Tilford and The Bourne is invited to submit pictures and photographs on a subject of their choice, providing an opportunity for the creative talents of the community to be revealed.
There will be a small entry fee per exhibit. These need to be submitted by Saturday, September 16, at the very latest. Pick up an entry form with full details in All Saints Church or St Thomas-on-the Bourne Church, or email [email protected].
Celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the consecration of the church will continue with All Saints Patronal Festival, attended by the Bishop of Guildford, on Sunday, October 29; a Christmas Oratorio with Tilford Bach Society, orchestra, chorus and singers, on Saturday, November 18; and finally a Christmas Tree Festival, on Saturday, December 9.
