SOUTH East Water will be carrying out important work to a new booster station in Alton, Hampshire overnight on Monday, October 17.

The company is installing a booster station close to its reservoir near Salisbury Close to resolve low water pressure issues in the area and secure supplies.

The work will take place between 11.30pm on Monday and 6am on Tuesday.

During this time residents in parts of Alton could find their water pressure is lower than usual or they have no water for a short period of time.

South East Water delivery manager Joe Yip said: "This work is extremely important as it will help improve the low pressure issues that some of our customers in the area have been experiencing as well as secure supplies for the future.

"We know this work will be potentially disruptive to residents so we will be carrying it out overnight to try and have as little impact on the local community as possible."
