ALTON Town Council is encouraging families to come together this summer and take part in a variety of sports in the town’s open spaces using the community sports bag scheme.

Sports bags will be available for hire with arranged collection from either the town hall or Anstey Park. The cost is £5 for three days or a weekend (Friday afternoon to Monday morning) or £10 for seven days per bag. Bookings will require a £25 damage/loss refundable deposit and proof of ID and address.

All bags will include a football, basketball, cricket bat, bean bags, bat and ball, a pair of hockey sticks and ball, a rounders bat, frisbee, skipping rope, and a velcro mitt catch set. Additional equipment can be booked on request including a rainbow parachute, skittles, a rugby ball and a netball.
