FARMER and commercial shepherd Gordon Wyeth is warning that he will shoot dogs found chasing and attacking his sheep.

His flock of 600 breeding ewes, which are grazing land at Headley Wood, were attacked by a dog at 4.30pm last Tuesday. One ewe died and another was badly injured.

Fortunately, a neighbour saw the attack and chased the dog off. It was reported to be a black Labrador-Alsatian cross.

The victim, last year, of four attacks by dogs on his sheep in eight days, Mr Wyeth says that the situation is becoming so bad that he will shoot the next dog he finds attacking his sheep.
