CHILDREN from Badshot Lea Infants School showed their support for the country’s armed forces by helping unfurl the Armed Forces Day flag outside the Farnham Town Council offices on Monday, June 25.

Councillors and representatives from the Farnham branch of the Queen’s Regimental Association, The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, Farnham Lions and The Hedgehogs gathered in South Street and watched as the Mayor of Farnham, David Attfield, ably assisted by Esmae from Badshot Lea Infants, hoisted the flag.

Mr Attfield said: “Ceremonies such as ours have taken place all over the UK and mark the start of Armed Forces Week. The act provides a much-valued morale boost for the troops and their families.”

The flag-raising was attended by representatives from the Farnham branch of the Queen’s Regimental Association, The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, Farnham Lions, The Hedgehogs and children and teachers from Badshot Lea Infants School.
