WORLD Book Day celebrations at St Andrew’s Infant School were slightly delayed due to the recent snow, but it didn’t affect the children’s enthusiasm.
Children and staff came to school dressed up as their favourite book characters and were asked to bring their best-loved bedtime story to share with their friends.
Book characters ranged widely from Amelia Earhart to Mary Poppins, Frankie the Footballer to Burglar Bill and Snow White to Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
The children shared their books and read to each other, demonstrating their love of reading.
