HAMPSHIRE Fare has celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special feast showcasing the best of local produce.
Three of the county’s finest chefs came together and contributed individual dishes for the feast at Lainston House in Winchester.
Local producers and recent award winners, Newlyns Farm, featured as the centrepiece for the main course, with their meat served in the pork and black pudding dish.
The meal ended with the finest wine’s Hampshire has to offer, as well as expert cheeseboards, liquors and chocolates.
Mike Wright, chairman of Hampshire Fare, reflected on the evening: “It is really all about our members and sponsors. We feel privileged to be able to work so closely with such an inspiring and hardworking group of people.
“We are really lucky in Hampshire to have so much delicious fresh produce on our doorstep, with such diverse countryside incorporating land, forest and sea we really do have it all.
Hampshire Fare was set up in 1991 by a handful of local farmers keen to spread the message about the high quality of food available right across the country.
