THE Public Gardens will host the annual Town Park Festival on Saturday.
Run in aid of the Rhiannon Trust, the festival runs from 10am-6pm.
Visitors can enjoy the usual mix of craft and children’s stalls, a bouncy castle, an opportunity to take part in a laser skirmish with Battlefield South, and to listen to live music courtesy of Kevin McKrell, Second Echo, Revolver, and Dog Ends.
Burgers, crepes, ice creams and a bar will keep revellers refreshed while Austen’s cafe is offering to make up special picnic hampers to order, with a donation from each picnic going to The Rhiannon Trust.
The festival is run by the Earp family to raise funds for The Rhiannon Trust, which was set up in memory of daughter and sister Rhiannon, who was handicapped and sadly died seven years ago aged just 16.
The charity funds equipment for disabled children, in particular communication aids, and help for parents struggling to meet funeral costs for their children.
