VISIT St Peter’s Church in Wrecclesham this weekend for its Christmas tree festival, from 2pm to 6pm.
The joyous event, taking place on Saturday, December 10, and Sunday, December 11, is part of the churches celebrations following its major development project.
Local groups, organisations and individuals will be providing trees, decorated in line with their activities and interests.
Among those taking part are St Peter’s Primary School, Weydon School, local Cub/Scout and Brownie/Guide groups, SureStart, the local History Society, the Model Railway Society, a flower-arranging group, plus other groups that use Leverton Hall and Wrecclesham Community Centre.
Organisers hope that the festival will be a “lovely opportunity for people to visit St Peter’s and enjoy the new welcoming atmosphere and that it will also contribute to the Christmas spirit within the community”.
Refreshments will be available, together with a range of seasonal foods and gifts made by members of the church. There will be a Christmas quiz for families and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their ‘Best Tree’.
