AN investigation to try to work out the scale of fly-tipping in East Hampshire is in the final three months of a pilot scheme.

While currently showing a lower-than-expected rate of fly-tipping in the district, there is a suggestion that this could be down to the lull in building work, due to the recession, and that there is a real need for local material recycling facilities to open their gates to trade waste.
