DISABLED residents at Leonard Cheshire Disability’s Bells Piece care home in Farnham, stand to benefit following an inspiring act of charity from the niece of a lady with Down’s syndrome.

Florence Elliott is looking to raise £1,800 in fundraising for her local care home, which supports people with a range of disabilities.

She said: “My aunt has Down’s syndrome, which is why I wanted to run for a disabilities charity. My local Leonard Cheshire home, Bell’s Piece, does great work in our community. I hope the money can give the residents extra opportunities that would not be possible without extra funding.”

The 21 year old, who is currently studying history at Manchester University, will be among 38,000 runners taking on the London Marathon on Sunday, April 24.
