"IRREFUTABLE" evidence, calling into question council claims concerning the net gain of public parking spaces under the East Street redevelopment, has been put forward by The Farnham Society.
The move has come as the council officially issued the compulsory purchase order for the land it does not yet own on the site, including the old cinema site and The Marlborough pub.
Interested parties have until June 29 to object to the order.
As the scheme gathers pace, the Farnham Society believes retailers across the town are starting to be concerned about how a squeeze on parking will affect their businesses, both during construction of the scheme and afterwards.
And after commissioning a comprehensive survey, it believes businesses are right to be concerned.
