TWO school friends united in a common cause to raise £3,000 to fund a gruelling expedition to Poland have already bitten a chunk off the total.
Thirteen year olds Olivia Orringe and Felix Hall held a jumble sale and Krispy Kreme doughnut cafe at Sheet Village Hall, raising £450 in the process.
The two teenagers from Churcher's College sold donated clothes, bric a brac, books and DVDs, as well as providing other attractions including their cafe.
Next on the agenda is a film night with sweets and popcorn on the menu and a special cake stall at Churcher's Junior School later this term.
"They did very well and it was the first time they had ever done anything like it before," said Susan Orringe, one of the proud parents.
