FOREST Lodge Garden Centre in Farnham has raised £2,384 for children’s charity Challengers, from the proceeds made from their animated Christmas window display.

As well as the money raised by Forest Lodge customers donating their loose change into the window display, the garden centre was generous enough to offer Challengers £1 of every Christmas tree sale.

Challengers provide play and leisure schemes for disabled children and young people in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. The charity has four schemes in Farnham – a pre-school, play scheme, youth scheme and young adult scheme – supporting 155 children and young people in Farnham alone.

Susie Jewell, corporate fundraising manager for Challengers, said: “Challengers is hugely grateful to be receiving such a fantastic figure from Forest Lodge. Thank you to everyone at Forest Lodge and to everyone who donated, this money is going to make such a difference to the families that Challengers support.”
