ENJOY a magical tour of some of the best Christmas house light displays in the area this month in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice.
The Farnham-based hospice’s festive tour map – which you can download at www.pth.org.uk/tuckwellschristmaslightstour – will take you from house to house, so you can enjoy the best dancing fairy lights, shining stars and sparkling snowmen in the area.
The light displays will be on from this Saturday (December 4) until the end of the month.
“Back by popular demand, our Christmas Lights Tour is a great way to spread some joy while supporting local hospice care this Christmas,” said Charli Quay-Barnham, community fundraising manager at Phyllis Tuckwell.
“Visitors will have the pleasure of seeing some of the finest displays in the area and we would be very grateful if they could support the homeowners’ festive fundraising by making a donation to Phyllis Tuckwell.”
Phyllis Tuckwell’s Christmas Lights Tour is provided free of charge, but any donation you can make will go directly towards helping fund the vital care the charity provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer.
Every day it supports more than 250 patients, relatives and carers – in their own homes, in the community, at the hospice in Farnham and at the Beacon Centre in Guildford – but as the NHS/government usually covers only about 20 per cent of its costs, it has to raise more than £25,000 a day to do this.
By texting ‘TWINKLE’ to 70300 you can donate £5 to Phyllis Tuckwell for the Christmas Lights Tour, or you can make a donation online through JustGiving, details of which can be found on the tour map.
