ROCK ‘n’ roll lovers enjoyed a night of fun as they tried out their best moves on the dance floor, while raising £700 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and the British Kidney Patient Association (BKPA).

The charitable evening, which took place at Farnham Rugby Club, featured live music from locally-based band The Toledos, a four-piece 50s/60s band with an authentic rock ‘n’ roll sound.

Alongside the funky foursome who had everyone up and dancing, was the local WI group, Bake Natter and Roll Farnham, who brought with them an impressive display of mouth-watering cakes.

Organiser Sam West, said: “Friday’s event was a great success, everyone had a good time and I’ve had some lovely emails from people saying how much they enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

“The event raised £700 so split between the two charities, with gift aid, means each charity will get around £440 each.”
