THE organisers of a competition to find the best allotment in Liss have been forced to change their rules amid claims of skullduggery. Liss Parish Council came close to losing the plot last week when they debated the rules to this year's best allotment competition. They have decided to go public with the judging criteria as the results of a previous competition resulted in challenges from "competitive" tenants. Many bemoaned the lack of transparency and demanded to see how they fared in the competition before the results were destroyed by the council. For full story, see this week's Petersfield Herald.
