HANNAH Lovelock made a little piece of history last week when she become the youngest ever winner of the Hindhead Ladies' 36-hole strokeplay championship.

In the sweltering heat, Hannah (hcp 9) carded rounds of 80 and 79, to win the Punch Bowl Trophy and the President's Bowl by six stokes from Judith Jewkes.

The win rounded off a good week for the Lovelock family, with Hannah's brother, Kieran (hcp 2), winning the Nick Faldo South East of England U/15 competition at Hertfordshire's Brocket Hall course.

Both youngsters attend Woolmer Hill School, where head teacher Sue Bullen actively encourages them to pursue their golf, representing school and county.
