Young artists are set for a hatful of praise after turning household waste into headwear.
The Young Arts Society Farnham recently organised a “Mad as a Hatter” competition that saw KS2 and KS3 pupils make hats out of recycled materials.
The results will be shown at The Maltings next week with a three-day exhibition opening in the Long Kiln gallery at the waterside venue next (June 27).
A prize-giving event will take place at 10.30am next Saturday morning with organisers hopeful that mayor Cllr George Murray will be able to present them.
There will be prizes for first, second and third-placed entrants with the YASF set to dish out £580 in prizemoney awarded by the Farnham South Street Trust.
