In a statement to customers online, the Castle Street pub confirmed they had received a call at 10am Friday morning (July 17) confirming that a customer who had dined on Wednesday evening (July 15) had tested positive for the virus.
In light of this, the pub has closed to allow for a deep clean of all areas.
Mark Robson, Red Mist managing director commented: "The health and safety of both our customers and our staff members remains our number one priority and we are in continual contact with Public Health England to assist in any way we can with the situation, including sharing all of our Track and Trace information.
"We will also be contacting all bookings who visited us on the night of July 15 to make them aware.
"We hope to be open again as soon as it is safe to do so and we have the consent of the relevant authorities and in the meantime we wish the customer in question a speedy recovery."
