HEARTSTART Farnham Lions’ team of volunteer instructors and helpers, having now completed five years of teaching Emergency Life Support skills (ELS) to over 850 local people, is preparing for the autumn term of classes.

Bookings may now be made for the classes which are scheduled as follows: September 6 and 20, October 4 and 18, and November 1, 15 (set to be Farnham Lions’ 100th Heartstart class) and 29.

The team invites members of our community to join the growing number who can now confidently approach and help a casualty, who may well be in danger of swift and premature death.

All classes take place at the St John Ambulance Hall, near Waitrose, Farnham, on Wednesday evenings, commence at 7pm and take about two-and-a-half hours.

Each class delivers the whole course. They are free, although donations towards expenses are welcome should they be offered.
