A charity bike ride raising money for men’s charities finished their ride at Hogs Back Brewery on Sunday 19 May.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride arrived at the brewery in style on their classic and vintage motorcycles and in their dapper suit jackets to raise money for men’s charities.

Among the riders were famous faces such as TV Presenter and Travel writer Charley Boorman and internet fitness influencer and presenter Joe Wicks. The pair led the procession on the final leg of the ride through Farnham and into the brewery as crowds of enthusiasts and onlookers lined the streets congratulating and admiring the styles of the riders and the vintage bikes.

The ride started in Guildford, taking a 28-mile route through the Surrey Hills.

Riders stopped off at the brewery to enjoy a beer, food and live music after their ride alongside new friends and fellow riders. Riders found the Hogs Back Beer machine to be of interest as is was made from an old no long roadworthy Harley Davidson with a barrel-shaped sidecar.

The Surrey Hills ride is the second biggest DGR event and brings to a close Mental Health Awareness Week as the bike ride aims to raise awareness and money for men’s mental health issues and prostate cancer.

Riders raised an estimated £50,000 for prostate cancer and men’s mental health this adds to the $7,450,000 raised from the 893 rides across 121 countries in 2023.

The DRG was founded in 2012 in Sydney Australia to bring men together in a fun way to raise money for male-orientated issues such as prostate cancer and suicide. Since then the rides have become international events raising millions of pounds.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will return to Farnham and the Hogs Back in 2025.
