AN East Hampshire district councillor has this week condemned the Tory-ruled district council's future housing plan as a "monumental mess".
"The whole thing is an embarrassing mess of the first order and resignations should follow," declared Adam Carew, the Liberal Democrat opposition leader and Hampshire county councillor.
His scathing remarks came as East Hampshire District Council was forced to review its plans for its next local plan at an extra cost to its council tax payers of at least £120,000.
It brings with it the prospect of thousands more homes in Petersfield and its surrounding villages.
