CHAWTON Parish Council is among many to register objections to a planning application to build three terraced houses on the car park of the Greyfriars pub, and it would appear to have won the day.
According to an East Hampshire District Council spokesman, due to strength of opposition and with no support from the district conservation officer, the plan is likely to be refused without being put before EHDC's north planning committee.
