RESIDENTS of Wey Meadow Close in Wrecclesham welcomed an unlikely new neigh-bour late on Tuesday evening.

A large shire horse escaped from a nearby field and was seen strolling around and chewing grass on the estate shortly before midnight.

The horse remained on the loose until its owner arrived on the estate at around 1am on Wednesday.
