PHYLLIS Tuckwell’s monthly plant sales are starting again, on Sunday, April 3.

The hospice care charity holds plant sales on the first Sunday of every month, from April to October, to raise money to fund the supportive and end-of-life care which it offers those living with cancer, or another serious progressive illness.

Many plants are donated just prior to a sale so that the charity often has hundreds to offer on the day at very reasonable prices.

A spokesman for the hospice said: “From small bedding plants to large shrubs and even sometimes trees, whether you want to spruce up your whole garden, a few patio pots or just a window box, this is the place to come.

“And you don’t have to wait for the monthly sales to buy your greenery. Come along to the hospice to see the wonderful display of plants which are on sale every day. Browse through them at your leisure and pay for your chosen ones at reception.”
