A BORDON shopkeeper has escaped an alcohol sales ban after she was found to be inadvertently selling illicit vodka that contained methanol.
Sedef Durmaz, manager of Bordon Stores in Chalet Hill, said she was hugely relieved by East Hampshire District Council's decision to allow her to keep her licence.
Trading standards officers discovered the fake booze when they visited the shop on May 10 after a member of public complained that underage customers were being sold alcohol there.
