THE Farnham Independent Quiz League marked its Silver Jubilee year as this season’s winners received their trophies and certificates at the annual presentation evening, held last month at The Albion in Farnham.

Overall champions for the second year running were the Albion A team, with the second division won by the Bat & Ball B. The Jolly Farmer in Blacknest made a clean sweep of the runner-up spots with their A and B teams respectively.

Following the presentation, the assembled quizzers enjoyed their traditional informal friendly quiz to finish off the season, along with some superb refreshments kindly laid on by hosts Davey and Mandy.

The league is always open to new teams from pubs and clubs in the Farnham area. Matches are played by teams of four on Monday evenings throughout the winter months, using a spoken format which is quite unlike the normal written pub quiz and much more entertaining.
