THE Watoto children’s choir paid a visit to Liphook Infant School earlier this month and delighted the audience by singing and dancing.
The African choir, which features orphans from Uganda aged between seven and 15was at the end of a six month tour entitled ‘Oh What Love.’
They performed two short concerts to the children during school hours as well as two evening concerts for parents and the members of the community. A total of 60 children from Liphook were invited to have tea with the choir which was served in the infant school hall.
In addition, the Watoto children were invited into various classes of the junior and infant schools, in Avenue Close, joining in many activities including painting, clay modelling, games and sports, while pupils gained much from sharing their school and talking to the Watoto children.
