SURREY and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is inviting residents to attend its annual members’ day on Wednesday, September 14, at the Hog’s Back Hotel in Farnham.

The event will be taking place between 10am and 2pm. The trust provides mental health, learning disabilities and drug and alcohol services in Surrey and North East Hampshire, and is welcoming anyone to attend who is interested in finding out about trust services and the work it does in the community.

The event will begin with a welcome talk and a summary of the past year from the trust’s chairman, Richard Greenhalgh and its chief executive, Fiona Edwards. There will also be opportunities to put questions to directors and network with Foundation Trust members and governors.

Various workshops will be held throughout the event, including an interactive introduction to the practice of mindfulness and how it helps to reduce stress and improve wellbeing.

There will be a presentation on the trust’s new development at Farnham Road Hospital nine months after opening. It will explore how the new hospital has improved the experiences of people who use the service, carers and staff.

The trust will also be sharing plans for its next new hospital in Surrey.

The event is completely free and all are welcome to attend for the whole or part of the day. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Those interested in attending can book a place through the trust’s membership and engagement team by calling (01372) 216 158, texting 07775 220 205, or by emailing [email protected]
