"THE community has spoken and landowners have listened" was the message from East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) this week as it published another Big Year booklet, outlining its aspirations for the town.

Groups of specialists and members of the public have been brought together to discuss Whitehill and Bordon's regeneration - and their ideas have been compiled in the brochure to "communicate the res-ults to other residents".

But critics from the Bordon Area Action Group described the glossy document as "more box ticking" from the council which will, ultimately, achieve "nothing but frustration" for those consulted.
