THE debacle over East Hampshire's new rubbish collection has spilled into a second month – but the waiting could soon be over.

Upset people in Liss and other villages around Petersfield have been without a refuse collection for five weeks.
East Hampshire District Council insists the majority of the backlog was dealt with last weekend, with extra crews being deployed to clear up weeks of uncollected rubbish.
But the lack of local knowledge appears to be the biggest obstacle, while confusion over collection dates and routes has bemused both residents and workers.
