Sir, – Christmas comes but once a year and when it comes it brings good cheer.
Not so in Heath End, where the proposal is to close the Wellington Lane surgery, which over many years has given us such sterling service, ably supported by our chemist close by in the Farnborough Road.
And where do you think we shall be attending our new surgery? At No 4 Downing Street, Farnham.
Can you imagine the nightmare journey through the
traffic in Farnham, or by bus if one hasn't a car? Presumably some patients will be feeling unwell or will be frail and elderly if they are keeping an appointment with the doctor, with the attendant anxiety of getting there on time.
No, let us keep the surgery at Wellington Lane open, which helps to support a first-class chemist and the many grateful patients in the area. Otherwise I shall truly believe that the world has indeed gone mad.
There is a petition at the chemist if you wish to sign.
