A FROXFIELD kennels owner is appealing for the owner of two bull mastiff and Rhodesian Ridgeback cross dogs to come forward after she semmingly abandoned her pets and left him with mounting boarding bills. John Cole, owner of the Coleus Boarding Kennels in High Cross, said he took in the dogs after she arrived on his doorstep with a heart-rending sob story. She left the two two-year-old dogs Boris and Gerald on May 19 saying she would be back after the weekend. So far, she has run up boarding bills of nearly £500 and Mr Cole doesn't believe she intends to return. "She said she was moving flats because she had fallen out with her boyfriend and wanted me to have the dogs until she had moved into the new place. "Then she phoned again and asked me to keep them for the week until she was settled. She was in tears when she left the dogs, but I have heard nothing since." "They are lovely dogs but they are going to need rehoming and I will have to pass them on to the RSPCA if the owner doesn't return." He appealed for anyone who had information about the dogs or the owners to contact him at the kennels on 01730 827322.
