A PETERSFIELD woman who went into the NatWest Bank in Petersfield High Street with a knife and tried to rob a woman church deacon as she stood at the counter has been spared a jail sentence.

Freelance gardener Anita Fleming who has since moved home and given up her previous job in a laundry was given an 18 month probation order.
