POLICE are appealing for witnesses after around £25,000 worth of lifesaving equipment was stolen in a burglary at Odiham fire station.
The break-in occurred overnight on Friday, September 20, at the station on Western Lane.
Entry was forced to the premises and equipment stolen including cutting machinery used to free people from vehicles following road traffic collisions and a thermal imaging camera used to locate trapped people in fires.
Losing this vital equipment meant that fire engines at Odiham could not be mobilised, causing the station to be temporarily closed.
