A LIME tree could hold up the final stages of Bordon's first major eco-town project - the conversion of the Edwardian fire-station building into an exhibition centre that will be the central hub of the developing town.
Last Thursday, East Hampshire District Council's north planning committee gave the go ahead for a change of use of the building, approving its conversion into an eco-station exhibition centre and caretaker's flat.
But the committee's approval was conditional on there being more information on how the trees around the site, in particular a lime tree by the front of the building, will be protected from development.
