PLANS to convert the former nursing home at Ludshott Manor in Bramshott into luxury flats have been unveiled by the developer this week.

The plans have been submitted to East Hampshire District Council by developers Macleod Ltd of Guildford.

They include proposals to alter and extend the buildings at Ludshott Manor to form 23 new homes, together with the addition of a separate new home.

Julian Macleod, managing director of Macleod Ltd, told The Herald the company wants to restore and renovate the original Victorian listed building.

Although there would be some new building, most of the new development would come from the conversion of the former nursing home.

He said there would be a mix of homes ranging from two and three bedroom to four bedroom houses and a single five bedroom house.

Mr Macleod said they were intended to be elegant spacious apartments with new family homes within the walled gardens.

He said his company specialised in converting old buildings such as Ludshott Manor, but completion of the project could be another year away.

The nursing home at Ludshott Manor closed in March this year.
