THE controversial planning application for a housing development at Lowsley Farm has been given outline planning permission by East Hampshire District Council.

The proposed residential development of 155 homes at the Longmoor Road site has been opposed from day one by the Lowsley Farm Residents' Association, parishioners, and Bramshott and Liphook Parish Council.

The development brief indicated the council is likely to seek 40 per cent affordable housing on the site.

Residents' association chairman Colin Osbourne vowed: "The fight will go on."
