A CHURT man has been jailed for nine months after admitting burgling his neighbour's house when she was taken to hospital following a fall. Anthony Frizzell, 53, of Parkhurst Fields, stole more than £26,000 from Christine Payne, who is in her 60s, in June last year - Guildford Crown Court heard last week. As Ms Payne was being loaded into an ambulance after injuring herself in a fall on June 21, 2013, Frizzell overheard that a large amount of cash had been left in her house. Another neighbour of Ms Payne's attempted to hide several bundles of bank notes in a tumble dryer, but when they returned some days later, the money had gone Police were alerted to the theft and found that more than £26,000 in cash and jewellery was missing from Ms Payne's home. Frizzell was arrested and a search of his house uncovered various new electronic products and receipts of several thousand pounds each from various bank deposits. Police officers also found a receipt for a £5,000 Western Union transfer Frizzell had made to a person he had met on a dating website. When questioned, Frizzell admitted the burglary immediately.
