THE cause of the fire that destroyed Kingsley's Country Market in May may remain a mystery.

Dean Marshall, son of owner Peter Marshall, made the declaration after police and fire officers closed their investigation into the incident.

"I don't think we will really ever know what happened. There were several business housed in the front arcade of the main building as well as the restaurant, conference centre, office and events area. It could have started anywhere," he said.
