A MECHANIC from Tongham has been sentenced to 20 months in prison after kidnapping his ex-girlfriend in front of her two young children and dumping her, naked, in an isolated quarry in Runfold. Salisbury Crown Court heard that Daniel Jones, 29, had an argument with Sophie Lazell, 25, before dragging her by the hair down the stairs of her second-floor flat in the early hours of December 11, 2013. Miss Lazell's two children, aged five and seven, and her mother were woken by the row, during which a cocaine-fuelled Jones also smashed a picture on the wall, a mirror and a flat-screen TV. Jones, who had served a 18-month custodial sentence for attempted theft just six weeks earlier, then drove the young mum to a quarry in Runfold, where he abandoned her naked.
