HEADLEY Theatre Club celebrated the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death on Saturday with a medieval banquet at Headley village hall.

With fancy dress, a hog roast and Shakespearean entertainment to boot, the banquet proved a success, with plenty of guests from near and far.

“It went very well indeed,” said organiser Jo Smith. “Over the two nights we attracted more than 80 people, and we were complimented many times, then and in the days after.”
