A TEN-YEAR-OLD is walking the extra mile for the RNLI.
Nathan Jones from Midhurst is smashing his charity challenge of walking 200 miles to raise funds for the RNLI, hitting 100 miles last weekend – just 100 to go!
The funds have reached an incredible £1,350. Nathan started walking on December 12, his tenth birthday, and will be walking until the RNLI’s 200th birthday in March.
Nathan said: “I’m doing it because I like going to our closest RNLI in Selsey. I love seeing the boats. My great granny won a writing competition with the RNLI in 1936, so it means a lot to me. I’ve been going for three years and really love it there.”
His aunt Jenny and uncle Rich said: “We are really proud of Nathan for taking on this challenge. He has been walking despite the cold weather. It’s great to see him so determined to make a difference for a cause he really cares about.”
